About me
I am a forester by profession. I received my education at the Secondary Forestry Technical School in Liptovský Hrádok and at the Forestry and Timber Academy in Zvolen. I started my professional career in the Tatra National Park in the area of Ticha and Kôprova dolina. Later, I taught at the Secondary Forestry School in Liptovský Hrádok (the perpetrator returns to the scene of the crime) and now I work in the private sector, but also with a forestry focus. I have always been close to nature, animals, plants and especially trees. When I started teaching dendrology at the high school of forestry, I thought it would be a good idea to create a photographic database of morphological features of domestic and foreign trees grown in our country. When I more or less succeeded, circumstances forced me to leave the school in Liptovský Hrádok. I first used the free space on Botany.cz and I try to present my more than twenty years of photographic efforts in the field of tree morphology (mainly domestic ones) on my website www.atlasdrevin.sk.
Knowledge of any kind should be freely accessible and free of charge. With this intention, I also prepared and implemented my website www.atlasdrevin.sk. However, the collection, processing of the material into the final form (atlas of trees), as well as the construction of the website and its operation costs something. For now, I am the main sponsor myself. If you like my page and the shared information was useful to you, you can support me through:
